Grand Way practice trainers — flip safely, learn the tricks

A trainer has the weight and swing of a butterfly knife and no edge at all. It's how people learn the flips — and how many of them end up fidgeting at their desks for years.

01

No edge, by design

The trainer blade is unsharpened and cut through with holes. It's a practice tool and a fidget toy, not a knife.

02

Tune the swing

Open the latch, hold one handle and snug the pivot screw a little at a time. Too tight and it won't swing; too loose and it rattles.

03

Start slow

Learn the basic opening over a bed or a carpet. The trainer is steel, and a dropped one can still mark a floor.

Good to know

Is a practice trainer sharp?

No. Trainers are unsharpened and made for learning and flipping.

What's the difference between the two lines?

Our Pro Line has an upgraded pivot system; the lightweight line has a perforated build for faster flips.

What age are they for?

We recommend them for teens and adults, with an adult around for younger flippers.
